Chocolate challenge for Patisserie Hoeben

Chocolate challenge for Patisserie Hoeben

Making a delicious cake that also looks beautiful: it not only takes a lot of care and attention, but also a lot of time. Patisserie Hoeben is a great example of this. Making chocolate decorations for their cakes, among other things, was a time-consuming process that became increasingly labor-intensive for the baker. We changed that!

Real craft

From a small village bakery, Patisserie Hoeben grew into a national supplier of cakes and pies. Despite the growth of the company, the character of the small village bakery maintained their work method: a lot of attention was paid to making chocolate decorations. The melted chocolate was processed on a marble top after which the chocolate hardened. Then the chocolate was processed into pieces, all by hand. A time-consuming and intensive process that was no longer in line with the required capacity that was needed for the production of cakes.

From challenge to solution

Change was inevitable. But the question was, how? Hoeben came to us with this question. After the necessary specifications were shared with us, we could get started on finding a suitable solution. A machine was built that supplied the chocolate in liquid form. By processing the chocolate at the right temperature and in the right way, it is spread out into a thin layer of a few mm and cooled down again. At the end of the belt, the now hardened chocolate pieces are removed from the belt and further processed in the entire production process. A perfect solution that fully connects with the existing process.

If printed foil is used, cake rings with print can even be created, which can give a beautiful luxurious touch to your cakes. Because we combine different techniques, we can offer a great solution for all specific customer wishes.

“Happy again”

With the help of the new machine, the work that previously took a whole week can now be done in one day. With this we not only improved Hoeben's production process, but we also took an ergonomic burden off their shoulders. Seeing our customers happy again is what makes our work so special!
